Guus van der Bie
Guus van der Bie MD (1945) worked as a lecturer at the Department of Medical Anatomy and Embryology at Utrecht State University, Holland from 1967 to 1976. Next to his practice as a family physician since 1976, he continued to educate physicians, therapists, and medical students at Utrecht State University and the University of Witten/Herdecke, Germany. He is a co-founder of the Kingfisher Companions Group.

Christina van Tellingen
Christina van Tellingen MD (1949) has been a family physician since 1975, including 18 years in California. She has taught medical students and physicians in the United States, Canada, and Europe, among others at the University of Witten/Herdecke, Germany. She has written articles and (co)authored several books. She is a co-founder of the Kingfisher Companions Group.

Arie Bos
Arie Bos MD (1949) has been a family physician in Amsterdam and teaches philosophy of science and neuro-philosophy at the Universities of Amsterdam and Utrecht. He has written many articles and several books such as a book on AIDS (1987), How Matter became Spirited (2008, in Dutch), My Brain does not Think, I do! (2014, in Dutch) and Use Your Brains! (2018, in Dutch). He works with the Kingfisher Companions Group since 2014 and plans to write a Companion on neuro-anatomy and consciousness.

Marko van Gerven
Marko van Gerven MD (1947) has worked as a psychiatrist in several hospitals, on acute psychiatric wards, and in private practice. Marko specialized in the treatment of patients with chronic trauma. After his recent retirement, he started teaching. He joined the Kingfisher Companions Group in 2008.

Loes van den Heuvel
Loes van den Heuvel MD (1976) is a family physician at the Utrecht Center for Physicians and Therapists, the Netherlands. She has joined the Kingfisher Companions Group in 2010 and is wrote about Thyroid Disease in the Companion on endocrinology (2015).

Kore Luske
Kore Luske MD (1976) works as a family physician at the Physicians’ and Therapists’ Center Aquamarijn, Arnhem, The Netherlands. She joined the Kingfisher Companion Group in 2010 and in 2014, completed her education as an anthroposophical doctor. Ever since she was a student she has been inspired by the phenomenological research method, which has been the cornerstone of her recent research in endocrinology. In addition to her work as a family physician, she also serves as a medical educator for medical students, nurses, and therapists.

Majella van Maaren
Majella van Maaren MD (1964) has worked as a general practitioner and anthroposophical physician for fifteen years, with a focus on chronic and psychosomatic disease. Since 1999 she is also working as a freelance author and is (senior) editor of various publications that concern themselves with (integrative) medical science and
agriculture. Initially, Majella did this in addition to working as a doctor, now she devotes herself entirely to writing and text editing of articles and books about renewing and broadening perspectives on medicine and agriculture. At home, she and her husband run their own dairy farm, which also has educational activities for children with special needs.
In 2015 she became a member of the Bolk’s Companions Group.

Martin Niemeyer
Martin Niemeijer MD (1947) has worked as a doctor for children with developmental problems in various settings for thirty-five years. He practiced in clinical and outpatient settings. In 1981, he co-founded and became the chair of the Netherlands Association of Physicians for the Mentally Handicapped. Since 1995 he has conducted scientific research in his field of expertise, initially at the Louis Bolk Institute, later for the Alliance for Curative Education, both in the Netherlands. Since 2005, he is a researcher at the Lectorate for Anthroposophic Healthcare at the Leiden University College in the Netherlands. Martin has also been a teacher for many years. In 2015 he became a member of the Bolk's Companions Group. Various scientific publications have appeared from his hand in different journals as well as books about children with developmental disorders and about additional medical, pedagogical, and psychological assessment methods for the work with these children.

Tom Scheffers
Dr. Med. Tom Scheffers (1979) is a family physician in Weimar, Germany. He researches the spleen and defended his thesis on the subject in 2021 at Witten/Herdecke University. Later he will write a Companion on the subject. He has joined the Kingfisher Companions Group in 2011.

Maurits in 't Veld
Maurits in 't Veld (1966) works as a teacher of history and science orientation in secondary education. He also worked for several years as an editor, publisher, and translator. He studied philosophy and history in Utrecht and Amsterdam, and also attended several semesters at the “Freie Hochschule der Christengemeinschaft .” In 2015, he received his PhD on a science-philosophy study of the beginnings of language competence in human evolution, "The hermeneutic niche. Language within Darwinism." Several years ago he opened his private philosophical coaching practice "De Binnenweg".
